Bring your beach wardrobe because the celebration of seaside resort fun called Paris Plages (Paris Beaches) will be here from early July. Come and enjoy the summer sweetness of a Parisian event that has become hugely popular. Sunbeds, deckchairs, parasols and palm trees await...
Fun activities in various places
This year, the Parc Rives de Seine and the Bassin de la Villette will again be transformed into temporary seaside resorts to the delight of Parisians and tourists alike.
From July 6th to September 1st, 2019 you can enjoy free beach fun, sports, games and cultural activities at each site. For two months, dozens of events await you at the locations mentioned above, as well as on the Voie Georges Pompidou, where traffic will be prohibited for the duration of the event, and the forecourt of the Hotel de Ville.
You’ll also want to check out the Antipode barge moored in the Bassin de la Villette. This floating café has a small concert hall below decks offering a rich programme of entertainment including children’s shows, DJ sessions, concerts and more.
Paris Plages has something for all ages so come along and enjoy a seaside holiday in the heart of the capital.
Relax on the beaches of Paris
Want to relax in a deckchair in the shade of a parasol? Or chill out when the heat becomes too much? Paris Plages has it covered. Bring your beachwear, hat and sunglasses and top up your tan under the palm trees of Paris Plages. For environmental reasons there’s no sand these days, but it’s no problem because there’s plenty of fun, relaxation, laughter, sports, games and entertainment to be enjoyed. And when you’ve worked up an appetite or want to cool off, vendors are on hand to supply you with snacks, ice cream or a cool drink.
